I graduated with an MD/PhD focused on optical imaging of cellular energy metabolism in the brain of the living mouse at the EIN lab. This research experience led me to a position as an assistant doctor in Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at the University Hospital Zurich. Inspired by my clinical work, I returned to basic research, exploring the dynamics of brain vasculature and metabolism at the Boston University and at the University of California, San Diego. In addition to my research in neuroscience, I have an interest in global health.
