Nicola Schmid

I received my master’s degree in Neuroscience at the University of Zurich in 2022. After, I started my doctorate under the supervision of Marina Herwerth where I am studying the effects of astrocyte depletion on neurons. I mainly work with in vivo models in combination with two-photon laser microscopy to better understand cellular neurobiological processes in health and disease. Outside the lab I enjoy reading, cooking, skiing and sailing.
